Denial of Service

Hello list,

I'm having problems with web server. When all agents are sending an
inventary, the web server can not proccess all requests and inventory
process is like a denial of service attack.

Do you know any way to solve this problem ?
Has anyone had this problem before?

Hi,

Can you be more specific about your problem ? Is your OCS server on your network or on the internet ? What does the Apache logs says ? What can you see in activity.log (logs of OCS engine). Are you sure that your server is not in an high load ? Take a look at the processes running on your server to see if there is too much of a specific one (maybe it is the source of your problem ?).

Hello Guillaume,

Well my problem is the high number of requests (about 1000 simultaneous).
My server is on the same LAN that other machines.

Logs are ok, i can not see anything wrong.

When server goes down, uptime shows abot 200, 180, 170 and about 500 http
processes
